I love it when clients follow your work for so long and then they just want to celebrate who they are together and you’re the chosen person to bring that light into reflection. I love it when people celebrate love beyond weddings and continue to session up after getting married, having kids, or even before so. Sometimes life just needs celebration for no reason and that’s what this was and I loved every minute of it. These two are now a family of three and I still love these photos immensely for the memories they bring me, of a moment where love and having fun is all that really matters.

Rita and João got married almost two years ago and I still can't get their day out of my head. It is still one of my favourite days I've ever been able to document. I remember the feeling of adventure I had for shooting in such a cool location, different from the usual quintas and I just truly wish it would never end. And that mostly because it was the feeling everybody pretty much shared on that epic day. A few weeks prior we met yet again to shoot a bit in a place they love. It was simple yet a moment they owned with every bit of their personality which I love. Here's a few of my favourite. 

Sessões de Inverno começam aos tropeções a ser das minhas preferidas. Poucas coisas batem o frio daquela altura do ano que se encontra entre duas estações, em transição. Talvez só mesmo sessões nesses dias com duas pessoas abertas a nada mais que a tudo o que há de bom, a tudo o que é sincero, e a serem como sempre são, como na companhia segura de quem confiam. Duas pessoas que me fazem sentir totalmente à vontade e que me fazem sentir que o que faço as move. Pessoas que abraçam o destino como valsa e fado - e sabem que não interessa o que vier, virá por bem. Como este dia foi também o seu casamento, mas esse virá um pouco mais tarde. Por agora, que o Inverno se parece estar finalmente a instalar, deixo-vos a estas imagens, em jeito de celebração. 

Esta foi a e-session de um dos casais que eu tenho a honra de poder sentir que se tornaram muito especiais para mim. Irei escrever algo mais longo quando publicar o seu casamento dentro de algumas semanas. Mas por agora a sinceridade destas imagens falará do seu amor à vida, e da compaixão e gratidão que sinto perante duas das melhores pessoas com que pude trilhar caminho este ano.

This was the engagement session of one of the couples I have the honor of being able to feel they became so very special to me. I will write something more once I publish their wedding day in a few weeks. But for now the honesty of these images will speak of their love for life, and the compassion and gratitude I feel for two of the best people I had the pleasure of walking alongside with this year.
